Smiles

She's been smiling for weeks now---very rewarding when you're exhausted and taking care of some need of hers, yet again! She's learning patty-cake and loves it: almost guaranteed to get smiles from her, which is how we finally got a grin on the camera.

That's a dish towel, hanging over her chair. But even colorful dish towels are interesting when you're 2 1/2 months old.

Sometimes I read to Abigail while I'm holding her. Sometimes she likes it, and sometimes she just falls asleep. But here we are reading together!

Spoiling Time!

Abigail got to meet her other Grandma and Grandpa this week. My mom and dad flew in Tuesday and are staying for a week to get to know (spoil) their second granddaughter. They've already been very helpful, and tomorrow they're going to babysit overnight, while Debbie and I celebrate our 3rd anniversary. Probably by doing lots of sleeping.

Talking with Daddy

Abigail has been getting more alert. She is getting to know daddy.

Looking Up

She is getting stronger and lifting her head up more. We try to give her some time on her tummy to help strengthen her neck muscles although she doesn't like that position for very long. I think she dislikes not being able to see as much like when she is on her back.

Play Time on the Couch

I shot these pictures when I was home with her on my day off this week. She has been smiling a lot this week! She almost looks like she is posing for the camera. It's a joy to see her happy!
